As a producer, I help artists bring their songs to life—whether it’s shaping a rough idea into a finished track or enhancing a fully written piece with thoughtful production. If you’ve got a song that needs to be recorded, I can capture its essence and add subtle layers of instrumentation to support the mood. For projects that call for more, I’m equally comfortable creating fuller arrangements and exploring new textures to expand your sound. My role is flexible—I can be a light touch producer, keeping things intimate and true to your vision, or dive in with a more hands-on approach to build something more elaborate. Every step of the way, the goal is the same: to make your music feel complete, authentic, and uniquely yours.

As a mixing engineer, I focus on creating balance and clarity so every element of your track finds its place. With experience across a wide range of genres, I can adapt to the sound you’re after—whether that means chasing a specific reference tone or shaping something entirely your own. Mixing, to me, is like cooking: each ingredient matters, but it’s the blend that makes it satisfying. The goal is always to find that unique balance where the song feels alive, cohesive, and true to the artist.

Mastering is the final step in preparing your music for release, making sure every track sounds polished and cohesive. I focus on gluing the mix together while preserving important transients and dynamics, so the music maintains its energy and clarity. Along with balancing frequencies across songs and shaping the overall listening sequence, I can embed files with proper metadata and prepare masters ready for physical reproduction on vinyl, CDs, or cassettes, as well as WAV and MP3 files for digital distribution. I’m also open to collaborating with other mastering engineers if that’s the best fit for your project, and I can be hired for mastering-only services when needed.

As a production coach, I help artists learn how to capture professional-quality sound using the tools they already have. Whether you’re recording vocals in a bedroom or building tracks from scratch, I guide you through modern techniques for clean audio, smart mic placement, and effective sound treatment so your space works with you, not against you. I teach practical, real-world workflows in DAWs like Pro Tools, Logic, or GarageBand—covering everything from session setup and editing to basic mixing and creative effects. I also provide detailed feedback on mixes to help you improve clarity, balance, and impact.
Beyond the studio, I coach artists through the process of releasing music—making sure songs are properly registered and ready for distribution. For artists who want to pair sound with visuals, I offer guidance on shooting and editing live performance videos or music videos as well. My approach is adaptable: I can offer simple, confidence-building guidance for beginners or take a deeper, more technical dive for producers ready to refine their sound. Every step of the way, the goal is the same: to help you work independently, efficiently, and create work that feels polished, authentic, and uniquely yours.
Inside the studios
In East Van, I work out of two dedicated studios designed for different stages of the creative process. The first is our “live” room, ideal for recording drums and full-band sessions. It’s stocked with a classic collection of guitar amps, guitars, and basses to suit a variety of tones and styles. Upstairs, the overdub and mixing studio offers a wide range of tools for shaping and layering sounds, including keyboards, synths, drum machines, and unique effect processors from makers like Strymon, Chase Bliss, and Hologram Electronics. Together, these spaces provide the flexibility to capture raw performances and sculpt them into finished productions.
